Submissions What We Are Looking For:Cranky Yellow is always looking for dedicated artistic individuals whom are willing to create various projects independently and in collaboration with the current members. We strive to do things the hard way; to get the word spread by mouth and to offer things that are not easily created or mass produced. Many aspects of our products are hand created/printed/packaged to create a more "grassroots" production without the over bearing exploitation of artists and the human experience. We are looking for artistic persons from around the world whom sit three feet left of ordinary to help organize, produce, and promote the innovative creations of Cranky Yellow. What We Offer: Cranky Yellow offers an alternative source of publishing/producing for artistic talents that are often overlooked or shunned due to the ignorance of mainstream culture. We strive to find artists who would be avoided by conventional publishing firms for lack of substantial commercial value, regardless of their talent and future potential. We then work along side them to promote their work and harness their vision for future endeavors with the team. What Makes Us Special: We also support the autonomous work of our artists; displaying and promoting it when ever possible. We enjoy watching and offering constructive criticism to one another as we develop different artistic styles and apply them to projects both personally and as a group. We care more about getting our artists "out there" than reaping the benifits of their work. Thats why nearly ALL profits from each piece is given directly to the artist instead of being pumped into a greedy corporate publishing firm. We work with each artist to endorse their work for the betterment of their talent verses filling the pocket book of another big business scrooge. What You Should Do: If you are interested in submitting work, it would be advised to have previously read, listened, watched, or viewed some of the work already in print by Cranky Yellow. This is the best way to see whether or not your work is worth submitting. By submitting you are asking us to take the time to sit and read/review your work; so please do not submit something you know is bad. Get some other peoples opinions on your work, and have an established portfolio to show us. Here are some numbers for you to crunch when submitting work: Always Include:
DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS OR YOUR ONLY COPY!! If you would like anything you send via snail mail returned please include a self addressed envelop with plenty of postage. Anything that does not need to be sent back or does not include enough postage will be recycled after review. Use the Contact page to get your submission in. We will be in touch. Seriously. |
